BIO
I am a product of LAUSD by way of attending Woodcrest Elementary, Amestoy Elementary, Robert E. Peary Middle, and Gardena High School.
It was at Peary when I knew I wanted to be a teacher, but it was at Gardena High in Ms. Higa's English class that made me know English was meant for me to teach.
I earned all of my college degrees from California State University Dominguez Hills (Bachelor's in English Language and Linguistics, Bachelor's in English Literature, Master's in Negotiations, Conflict Management, Resolution, and Peacebuilding: Family Mediation, a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, and Single Subject Teaching Credential: English).
Employed with LAUSD since 2003, taught at Gardena High from January 2017 to June 2022 as a Law and Public Service teacher (LAPS), and currently as a Restorative Justice Teacher.
It is my pleasure to assist with keeping students safe in their educational environment while having a little fun!
